The Trotter Project hosts the Third Annual Playing it Forward Ping Pong Ball Tournament 5:30-10 p.m. Oct. 29 at the Hard Rock Hotel Chicago, 230 N. Michigan. Food and drinks provided by Chuck's: A Simon Kerry Kitchen and Brown's Lounge.
Proceeds benefit the Ann & Robert Lurie Children's Hospital's transportation expenses for families with critically ill children.

A VIP chef's reception, featuring the talent of Bill Kim (Urban Belly; bellyQ and Belly Shack); Richie Farina (formerly of Moto); Phillip Foss (El Ideas) and Art Smith (Table 52) starts at 4:30 p.m. A portion of the proceeds from the VIP event will be shared with the Trotter Project and the Jackson Chance Foundation.
